For my wife and I, 2014 has flown by as a result of some crazy circumstances in our lives. In December 2013, my wife, Nancy and I were told by separate doctors that we both badly needed total hip replacement (both left hips, too)! She was struck by a car when 12 years old and was told that "someday" would likely have some problems with that hip and that day finally came. I, on the other hand, had my right hip replaced in 2008, but couldn't explain to the doctor how I had injured my hip at some point in …
I pulled out my gunsmithing screwdriver set, and my wife winced. She knows that this normally begins a domino effect, with items coming out of most every closet, drawer and box, and surrounding me in a semicircle on the couch.
Okay, so I want a new gun. With frivolous purchases like new brakes for the car and multiple vet bills looming on the horizon, I can’t make that happen right now. What I can do, is pull out the tool set, and remake something I already own into a new gun, sort of.
